Job Title: Funded Contract Project Manager

The purpose of the position
The Funded Contract Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of funded training programmes in accordance with predetermined standards, regulation and legislation. The role involves organising and supervising the contractual and administrative activities and reporting the outcomes to the Board and other key stakeholder.
The Funded Contract Project will play a critical role within the Operational teams to ensure the delivery on Skills Bootcamps and ASF programmes, and ensure they achieve the expected delivery outputs & results, financial targets and provide value for money. They will work collaboratively to continually seek ways to improve processes and efficiency.
The successful candidate will drive delivery partners forward with passion, enthusiasm, inspiration and motivation, to ensure compliance with funding and governance requirements. It is essential for the candidate to have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be proactive and have a flexible style of working.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the Skills Bootcamps & other funded training programmes, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure communication and governance processes, payment, performance and benefit realisation monitoring, and the initiation of remedial/improvement activity are executed properly.
- Ensuring the operational and delivery teams are fully aware of and compliant with their roles and responsibilities within the relevant Skills Bootcamps or ASF contract, in line with signed Partnership agreements.
- Responsible for carrying out performance reviews and audits of delivery performance.
- To support the Contract Specialist to ensure recommendations and improvements are acted upon, where there are actions.
- To liaise with delivery partner teams and internal colleagues, including Operations, Finance and Management, to monitor compliance, quality, performance, and impact.
- To support the Skills Bootcamp Board or relevant programme with preparation for audits, inspections and CCN’s (Contract Change Notification), where there are actions.
- Ensure that targets within delivery are being met and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
- Responsible for the forecasting and planning of all candidate completions.
- To carry out any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities wherever reasonably instructed
Desired Skills and Experience
Key experience, knowledge and skills
- Excellent understanding of the Skills Bootcamps guideline and funding requirements
- Experience of managing Skills Bootcamps or similar FE delivery projects
- Experience of large-scale project management
- Experience of audit and compliance checks.
- Experience of managing a complex and diverse team
- Experience of stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience of using IT systems and Microsoft packages.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship and ASF systems, legislation and regulations, together with a working knowledge of post-secondary education.
- Knowledge of construction trades, clients and a working knowledge of trends in the industry
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience of writing presentations and Board Reports
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Qualification and training required
- Functional Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and I.T
- Business Administration or equivalent experience

- ILM or equivalent Management Qualification (substantial experience will be considered)
