The purpose of the position:
As a Marketing Executive at The Skills Centre, you will be instrumental in driving engagement and building brand awareness across digital and physical channels, bringing our mission of building opportunities and transforming lives to life.
Working with the Marketing Team, Referrals Team and Centre Managers, you’ll help execute strategic marketing plans across social media, events, collateral, and content. This position is ideal for a creative, organised professional passionate about inspiring communities and supporting social impact.
The role involves working across our specialist training centres in London, Essex and Kent, with flexibility for up to two days remote work per week.

Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our PR agency to produce engaging organic content for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, focusing on learner stories, programme highlights, and industry insights.
- Ensure all content reflects our brand’s tone and inspires audiences across different regions.
- Support the planning and promotion of recruitment events, industry engagement, and open days for our range of stakeholders.
- Provide logistics support on-site to ensure smooth event operations and an excellent experience for participants.
- Oversee the creation, inventory, and distribution of marketing collateral, ensuring it’s up-to-date and aligns with our brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to keep materials consistent and impactful.
- Conduct interviews and create case studies to capture learner journeys and success stories, adding human depth to our content strategy.
- Share stories across channels to reinforce our mission of transforming lives and building opportunities.
- Support the production and distribution of monthly newsletters, sharing organisational milestones, updates, and inspiring learner experiences.
- Work with internal teams to gather relevant content, ensuring communications are timely and on-brand.
- Assist with tracking and reporting on key performance metrics.
- Travel to our sites and centres on a frequent basis to produce material and content for campaigns
- Manage resources on the internal intranet, handle uniform orders, and support ad-hoc marketing tasks as needed.
Key experience, knowledge and skills
- Proven experience in managing social channels, engaging diverse audiences, and driving interaction.
- Some experience with event logistics and promotion, ideally in educational or community-focused settings.
- Strong writing skills to create clear, compelling content that aligns with our mission.
- Basic understanding of tracking metrics and analysing engagement to inform strategy adjustments.
- A positive communicator who can effectively represent our values, engage diverse groups, and foster a sense of community.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage various projects with precision.
- Prioritises a high-quality experience in every interaction, building trust and enthusiasm with learners and partners.
- Eager to take on new challenges, adapt to shifting priorities, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Qualification and training required.
Essential
- Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- May suit a graduate in the preferred field although we will base the role on the individual’s skills.
