This UKATA-accredited Asbestos Awareness course is essential for supervisors, tradespeople, and contractors who may encounter asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) during their work. Designed to help you recognise potential asbestos hazards and understand how to protect yourself and others, this 1-day classroom-based course covers the identification of asbestos types, common uses, health risks of asbestos exposure, and emergency procedures if asbestos is disturbed. You’ll also learn about relevant asbestos legislation and your legal responsibilities under current health and safety regulations. Assessment is via a multiple-choice exam, and successful candidates will receive a UKATA Asbestos Awareness certificate, valid for 1 year.
