The Level 6 in construction contracting operations management is designed for those already holding an operations management position in construction. This course is ideal for contract operations managers looking to develop their skills and demonstrate leadership competency to employers.
Who is the course for?
The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management - General is for experienced Site Managers, Project Managers and/or Contracts Managers who work in the construction industry.
How is it assessed?
All evidence and assessments will be managed by the e-portfolio system - Learning Assistant.
Candidates will be assessed through a number of assessment methods. Evidence will be collated by both the assessor and the candidate through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies and supporting documentary evidence.
Competence is proved by the assessor observing the candidate demonstrating that they carry out their normal work activities competently to the industry standard whilst complying with current legislation.
The assessor will work with the candidate to confirm that they have met the requirements of the units of the qualification.
The candidate must be assessed in a work environment - workplace evidence of skills can not be simulated.

Entry Requirements
To complete the qualification the candidate will need to show that they are capable and competent in their Site Management role. Candidates must be 19 or above and must also be working in a construction managerial role overseeing contracting operations in construction.
Progression Routes
On completion of this qualification the candidate would have demonstrated their competence and may wish to progress on to a higher level qualification in the same or similar occupational area. Please speak with a member of the team for further information.
