The Skills Centre is offering FREE SSSTS and SMSTS qualifications in London, thanks to funding from the Greater London Authority. Learners will also complete a L2 NVQ and a number of additional modules at no extra cost.

FREE SSSTS and SMSTS Training in London

A critical step in health and safety training, the SSSTS and SMSTS courses are a must for all site supervisors and site managers. 

Designed to build a firm and practical understanding of construction workplace safety, these courses cover everything from occupational health to site-specific issues. 

This is a great opportunity for learners to gain their Site Safety Plus training FREE of charge.

Funding for this course is available for residents of London, thanks to the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority.

Duration

The FREE SSSTS course runs for two days on a Saturday and Sunday from our training centres in London, with the NVQ and additional training delivered flexibly over the next 6 weeks.

The FREE SMSTS course runs for five days on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and the proceeding Saturday and Sunday. The SMSTS portion of the programme is delivered from our training centres in London, with the NVQ and additional training delivered flexibly over the next 6 weeks.

Curriculum

The FREE SSSTS and SMSTS courses include a mandatory NVQ and additional training modules to help learners take the next step in their careers.

Cost

Both the SSSTS and SMSTS bootcamps are FREE of charge for eligible learners who complete all elements of the training.

Funding is provided by the Greater London Authority.

Eligibility

For both programmes learners must:

  • Have a London Postcode (with proof of address)
  • Have the right to work in the UK 
  • Be aged 19+
  • Be self-employed

For the FREE SSSTS learners must be working in or working towards a supervisor position.

For the FREE SMSTS learners must be working in or working towards a manager position.

For the L2 Site Logistics NVQ learners must be working in Site Logistics.
